The Outliers

My husband and I went to see his side of the family for the July 4th weekend.  I was really hoping that we would have a child with us when we went but alas that did not happen.  When we do have a little one, our child will be the youngest of all the offspring of our generation.  Most of the cousins had children a while ago and are raising teenagers.  Our child will have to play with the great-grands.  Funny…in some ways.

No one asked us about children this time.  Perhaps word has gotten around, perhaps people know that we are just going to be vague in answering them.  In any case, I’m grateful.  We have a great life now that allows us to just pick up and go.  I’m still not that sure I’m ready to let all of that go.
